Özet

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors are the most common mesenchymal tumors of the Gastrointestinal tract. The stomach is the most common site of GIST location with 60%. Usually occurs later in life.Tumor size and number of mitosis are the most important factors influencing the prognosis. Surgical resection is the primary treatment of gastrointestinal stromal tumors. We presented a 51 year old male patient with a stomach located giant gastrointestinal stromal tumor which obstructed the intestinal segment.
