Özet
In this experimental study, the efficacy of tissue plasminogen activators (TPA) have been investigated in order to prevent postoperative intraabdominal adhesions. TPA release by endothelium cells and reduces in peritonits, because it's deficiency can increase adhesion. 46 rats in two groups, each 23 rats, were included in this study. After the midline laparotomy incisions, caecal penetration, visceral and peritoneal injury were performed in all rats. TPA were given topically before the abdominal closure in Group B (Study Group) and % 09 NaCl was given in Group A (Control Group). All rats were sacrificed on 14(th) postoperative day and adhesions were scored macroscopically. The highest adhesion score, 55 points, was observed in the control group and 13 points were found after TPA administration. Stage-I and II adhesions were observed in TPA Group and stage III and IV adhesions were found in control Group. Excessive inflammatory cells infiltration, capillary congestion, neovascularization and collegenization were observed in histopathologic examination of adhesions. Significant statistical difference was found between two groups (p < 0.01). Postoperative intraabdominal adhesion risk in TPA Group was found 2 times less than Control Group (Relative Effectivity = 2).
