Özet
Psoriasis is a hyperproliferative disease of the skin. It is important to show proliferation in hyperproliferative diseases. AgNOR (Argyrophilic nucleolar organizer region) counting and PCNA (Proliferating cell nucleolar organizer region) immunoreactivities can be used to show cellular proliferation. In this study 20 patients having psoriasis vulgaris and 10 healthy persons were examined using AgNOR counting and PCNA expression of immunohistochemical method. AgNOR histochemical staining was performed according to the method of Pluton et al. PCNA immunolabeling was performed using a monoclonal antibody to PCNA and a labeled streptavidin-biotin-peroxidase method (Clone PC 10, DAKO). In psoriasis, they are found to be increased compared with normal body tissue.
