Özet
In this study we aimed to compare the tracheal intubation conditions of propofol, thiopentone and ethomidate (with IV alfentanil and pharyngeal lidocaine spray) without using muscle relexants because of their side effects. Forty-five cases of ASA I were included in this study. Induction was started with 50 micrograṁkg-1 alfentanil IV in all cases. 2.5 mġkg-1 propofol in Group P (n = 20), 5 mġkg-1 thiopentone in Group T (n = 20) and 0.3 mġkg-1 ethomidate in Group E (n = 5) were administered as IV bolus. Thirty seconds after the completion of induction, laryngoscopy was performed in all cases by spraying 3 cc of 1% lidocaine. Fifteen seconds later, tracheal intubation was done by the same anaesthesiologist. The intubation conditions were scored over 5 points. The hemodynamic parameters were monitored and recorded during premedication, before and after induction and after the intubation. In normovolemic cases where is a potential risk with the use of neuromuscular blockers, it was concluded that tracheal intubation could be made successfully in induction dose of alfentanil and propofol or thiopentone.
