Özet

In this study, we investigated can different doses of alfentanil prevent, hemodynamic and neuroendocrine responses and QT interval changes due to agents used for anesthesia induction in children. 45 children aged 4-13, ASA PS I included in the study and randomized into 3 groups. No patient had pre-medication. Sodium thiopental and succinylcholine was used for induction and muscle relaxation in control group (Group C). Other 2 groups had, 10 μg/kg (Group A-10) and 25 μg/kg (Group A-25) alfentanil before induction. During induction ECG D II was recorded. Blood samples for plasma adrenaline and noradrenaline levels were taken before operation after succinylcholine and after entubation. As a result, alfentanil with dose of 10 μg/kg can not prevent hemodynamic and neuroendocrine responses and QT interval prolongation. Alfentanil with 25 μg/kg dose stabilizes hemodynamic and neuroendocrine responses by decreasing, increased levels of plasma adrenaline and noradrenaline, prevents QT interval prolongation. As a conclusion, 25 μg/kg alfentanil used before induction in children, is a useful agent.
