Özet

Elective aortic valve replacement was planned for the patient who was premedicated with 10 mg diazepam PO and 10 mg morfin IM anaesthesia was induced with 30 _gmgr/kg fentanyl, 0.1 mg/kg pancuronium bromide and 0.5 mg/kg diazepam and the patient was ventilated with % 50 air and % 50 O$D2. After the valve replacement and extracorporeal circulation was lasted it was seen that although there was a kind of leucocyte sequestration in venous blood samples (29.800/mm$U3) taken from pulmonary artery catheters there had been only a few lekocyte in arterial blood samples. The investigation of leukopenia in this patient led us to point out that the leukocyte count in arterial and venous blood samples could be the first marker of the probable immunologic reactions.
