Özet
In patients with pediatric heart failure, when the medical therapy remains inadequate, ventricular assist device is an alternative that offers the chance of life to patients. However, patient selection should be properly made because of the high cost of these devices. For the implantation of left ventricular assist device (LVAD) that persistence of spontaneous heart beats and presence of normal cerebral function are required In this case report we wanted to present the course of the disease from intraoperative neuromonitorization up to heart transplantation in a pediatric patient who was admitted to our hospital with acute cardiac failure.
