Özet
Hyperprolactinemia is a drug adverse effect, which may occur not only with antipsychotic use, but during selective serotonine reuptake inhibitor treatment as well. There are very few articles on escitalopram's effect on prolactin levels. This article presents a case of increased serum prolactin level and galactorrhea observed during escitalopram treatment, which resolved by switching to quetiapine treatment, discussing possible mechanisms of action.
