Özet

Autonomic dysreflexia is a lethal syndrome seen in patients with spinal cord injury and needs urgent treatment. It is the extreme reaction of sympathetic nervous system to any noxious stimuli below the neurologic level in spinal cord injured patients with T6 or upper neurological level. The characteristic findings of this disorder include hypertension, headache, excessive sweating, flushing and pyloerection. Noxious stimuli are mostly originated from the urinary tract. The main therapeutic approach is to remove the triggering factors. In this article, a case with recurrent autonomic dysreflexia attacks due to renal calculus was presented.
