Özet
In this study, hydroxyapatite (HA) was coated on Ti6Al4V, which is a widely used titanium alloy in biomedicalapplications, via biomimetic method. For the coating process, Ti6Al4V plates were immersed into simulatedbody fluid (SBF) with an ionic concentration of 1.5 times that of conventional SBF at 37°C. In 1.5×SBF, theentire surface was successfully coated with a calcium phosphate (CaP) layer after 2 weeks. The surfacemorphology of the coated plates was studied by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and itwas shown that the CaP coating was initiated in the form of half spheres and grew up continuously. Themolecular structure of the coatings was determined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and thecoatings showed the IR spectrum of carbonated hydroxyapatite regardless of the soaking time.
