Özet

Hypospadias is common congenital genitourinary system malformation afecting 3.2 in 1000 male newborns. Various surgical techniques have been used for urethral reconstruction in hypospadias. The aims of the all repair techniques is to achieve straight penis, normal position of meatus on the glans, adequate neourethral size, normal urinary fow, sufcient skin coverage of the phallus, and proper sexual function during adulthood. Tubularized incised-plate (TIP) urethroplasty is defened by Snodgrass in 1994, today TIP urethrtoplasty is the most common technique used for correction of distal and proximal hypospadias. Compared to other procedures TIP urethroplasty has lower complication rate and one-stage surgical repair can be accomplished. Inspite of the advantages of TIP urethroplasty urethrocutaneous fistulas, meatal stenosis and neourethral strictures are the most common complications of TIP urethroplasty technique. Meatal stenosis isolate or combine with urethrocutaneous fistulas remain common and serious complication of TIP urethroplasty. In this study we evaluated our 8 patiets, they were operated with the use of medial based distal triangular glanular fap, in addition to TIP urethroplasty to prevent the meatal stenosis. No meatal stenosis was observed for an average of 6-15 months. The cosmetic appearance was of a natural vertical slit-like glanular meatus situated in the normal position on the glans in all patients. We obtained a single, coherent urinary stream in all patients. In one patient we observed fistula and fistule was repaired without any recurrence.
