Özet

In this study we aimed to compare haemodynamic effects of halothane and sevoflurane by using thoracic electrical bioempedance (TEB). Forty patients age between 20-60 from ASA I-II who underwent elective umblical herniopathy and cholecystectomy were randomly allocated into two groups. The patients who were premedicated with 10 mg diazepam and 0.5 mg atropine, 7 mg/kg thiopenthone and 0.1 mg/kg vecuronium were used in induction of anesthesia, 50% O2 + 50% N2O and the chosen inhalation agent in 1.5 MAC were used in duration of anesthesia. Before beginning of induction 8 electrotes of TEB and 2 electrodes of ECG were connected to the patients. Measurements were performed before induction, 5 minutes after intubation, 10 minutes, 20 minutes and 5 minutes after ekstubation. Heart rate, mean arterial pressure, cardiac index, stroke volume index, systemic vascular resistance index were the parameters which were measured. In both group cardiac index, systemic vascular resistance index and stroke volume index were decreased when compared with the initial values (p<0.05). If the comparison was made between the groups according to decreases in the parameters there was no statistical significance. Other values were not statistically significance between the groups. As a result, in spite of a better heart rate stability with sevoflurane, halothane and sevoflurane have similar effects on cardiovascular system.
